AgentLex
Grounded in Irish law, not guesswork

Irish legal guidance and documents, grounded in the actual law.

AgentLex answers everyday legal questions and assembles documents for individuals and small businesses in Ireland — by phone or online. Every answer is drafted from official Irish legal sources and cites where it came from, and when the sources don't support an answer, it says so.

No card required for the free plan.

Example Legal Inquiry

Can my landlord evict me without notice?

No — in almost all cases a landlord must give you written notice, and the minimum notice period depends on how long you've lived in the property. Longer tenancies are owed longer notice.

Answers are drawn exclusively from official Irish public sources

  • Irish Statute Book
  • Workplace Relations Commission
  • Residential Tenancies Board
  • Companies Registration Office
  • Revenue
  • Competition & Consumer Protection Commission
  • SEAI
  • Enterprise Ireland

Legal information, not legal advice

Every answer traces back to a source — Irish statute law, the WRC, the RTB, the CCPC, and other public bodies. If we don't have a reliable source on your question, we'll say so and point you to a solicitor rather than guess.

How it works

Step 1

Ask or request

Submit a Legal Inquiry or describe the document you need — on the web dashboard, or by phone.

Step 2

We check the sources

Answers and documents are drafted only from retrieved Irish legal sources, then checked for accuracy before you see them — not generated from memory.

Step 3

Get a grounded answer

A cited answer in seconds, or a document ready to download, share, and — where it's not confident — a clear refusal instead of a guess.

Engineered for accuracy

Most AI tools answer from memory. AgentLex answers from the law.

General-purpose AI will happily improvise Irish law. AgentLex is built the opposite way: nothing reaches you unless it can be traced to a retrieved, cited, and independently validated source.

Retrieval-first, always

Every answer is drafted from passages retrieved out of a curated corpus of official Irish sources — never from a model's general memory of the law. If the corpus doesn't support an answer, there is no answer to give.

A corpus that stays current

The corpus is re-scraped from its official sources on a weekly schedule, and every retrieval checks when its material was last collected — so a stale source is flagged rather than silently relied on.

Independent validation

Every generated document passes through a separate validation stage whose only job is to reject uncited claims and unverified statutory references. Rejected drafts are rewritten and re-checked before anything reaches you.

A refusal beats a guess

When retrieval can't find a reliable source for your question, AgentLex says so plainly and points you toward a solicitor — a clear “we don't know” instead of a confident-sounding wrong answer.

Document assembly

Every document earns its way through five stages

Contracts, tenancy notices, T&Cs, and compliance paperwork aren't generated in one shot. Each request moves through a dedicated pipeline, and no document ships until validation signs off.

  1. 1

    Intake

Your request is structured: document type, parties, and the details that matter.

  2. 2

    Research

The relevant Irish legal sources are retrieved from the corpus, with escalation to a stronger model when the law is ambiguous.

  3. 3

    Draft

The document is assembled strictly from the retrieved sources and your details.

  4. 4

    Validation

An independent check rejects any uncited claim or guessed statutory reference and sends the draft back for rework.

  5. 5

    Output

A finished, source-grounded document is delivered to your dashboard — and if generation ever fails outright, your quota is refunded automatically.

Who it's for

One grounded engine, three ways to put it to work

The same retrieval-first core — every output traced to official Irish law — scales from a renter with a single question to a firm automating its first drafts.

Individuals

Tenancy, employment, and personal matters — answered and actioned.

  • Cited answers, never guesses

Plain-English answers to everyday legal questions — every claim traced to an official Irish source, or an honest “I don’t know.”

  • Letters & notices, drafted for you

Rent-increase disputes, deposit demands, notice letters — assembled with your details and ready to send.

  • Document check-up

Upload a lease, contract, or employer letter and get the risky clauses flagged back in plain English.

  • Deadline tracking

Statutory clocks — notice periods, response windows — surfaced so you never miss one.

Where we're focused

Businesses

The routine legal work every small business must do — without the solicitor bill.

  • Contract review & redlining

Risky or non-standard clauses flagged against Irish law before you sign — the review a junior solicitor bills hours for.

  • Compliance packs

Health & Safety statements, GDPR documentation, and employment policies, generated to the requirements Irish law sets.

  • Employment toolkit

Contracts, handbooks, and redundancy or disciplinary process packs, drafted from your specifics.

  • Company calendar

CRO filing and annual-return deadlines tracked, so nothing quietly lapses.

Law firms

Grounded AI infrastructure for the people who actually practise.

  • First-draft automation

Routine drafting and first-pass review at volume — fee-earners start from a grounded draft, not a blank page.

  • Grounded research assistant

Answers cited to Irish sources and staleness-flagged — engineered against the hallucination risk that keeps general AI out of practice.

  • Client intake & triage

Structured intake that summarises and prioritises matters before they reach a fee-earner’s desk.

  • White-label & API

Embed AgentLex’s retrieval and drafting inside your own client portal.

Every feature produces prepared work product grounded in cited Irish sources — for you or your solicitor to review and finalise. AgentLex is legal information and document assembly, not a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor.

Ask online or call

Use the dashboard for documents, chat history, and file sharing — or call the same grounded assistant by phone when it's faster to just ask. The voice line runs on the same retrieval and the same sources as the web app, and every question and document is saved to your account automatically.

Questions

Is this legal advice?
No. AgentLex provides legal information and document assembly, grounded in cited Irish sources. For advice on your specific situation, we'll point you to a qualified solicitor.
Where do the answers actually come from?
From a curated corpus built exclusively from official Irish public sources — the Irish Statute Book, the WRC, the RTB, the CRO, Revenue, the CCPC, and state enterprise agencies. Answers are drafted from retrieved passages of that corpus, and every answer cites where it came from.
How up to date is the information?
The corpus is refreshed from its official sources on a weekly schedule, and every retrieval checks the age of the material it's using. If a source looks stale, that's surfaced to you rather than papered over.
What if AgentLex isn't sure of the answer?
It says so, rather than guessing. If retrieval doesn't turn up a reliable source, or a source looks out of date, you'll see that clearly instead of a confident-sounding wrong answer.
How are generated documents checked?
Every document runs through a five-stage pipeline that ends in an independent validation step. That step exists solely to reject uncited claims and unverified statutory references — a rejected draft is rewritten and re-validated before you ever see it, and a generation that fails outright refunds your quota automatically.
Who can see my questions and documents?
Only you. Access controls are enforced at the database level per user, so your chat history, documents, and call records are scoped to your account.
Can I generate documents on the free plan?
No — document generation is an Individual or Business feature. The free plan is for trying out questions and voice calls before you subscribe.
Can I cancel or change plans anytime?
Yes, from your account's billing page at any time — no phone calls or emails required.
